Couple of weeks ago we stayed in Central Hotel, because it was, er, central. Not too expensive, good beer and breakfast, two minutes stroll from old town square, couldn't fault it. Just around the corner, if you like blues, good bar with excellent live music and good food and beer.

Minibus tour from corner of old town square gives a good orientation in a short time - about 90 minutes.

Nobody ever tells you about the television tower, we didn't find out until just before we left, looks to be a fantaastic viewing platform if that turns you on, a bit out of the main area, about a fiver to go up, I will deffo be trying it next time we go - yes we liked the place so much we will be going again for sure.

Nobody tells you what the big waving arm is on the castle side of the river on top of the hill looking northwards, looks like a giant metronome, not in the guide books we had - well it is a giant metronome, put there as a mobile sculpture.

And everything everybody else said above.

Enjoy
