This is the same guy who, when defending the days off string reduction under the banner of 'safety', then tried to defend the seychelles turn-around and IAH 24 hr... he's a bl**dy hypocrite.
His tenuous defence was that 'he would act before being forced to do so by the GCAA in response to complaints from the lower bid groups to the extra work they had to do whilst the top two had less... the fact that he could not mention who or how many had complained raised suspicions. Facts like the top two groups would fly ULR to fly the hours required to get the days off in the first place and that it was a state of affairs that is generally accepted exactly because you could get extra days off were ignored.
Why didn't he ask the pilots in the first place? We can do LOSAs but actually ask the pilots their opinion on a major change to terms and conditions? Silence...
Duty of care? None seen or sadly expected these days.
