I sense a misunderstanding between VNAP and australian due to language and culture.
The way I read australian was him being sarcastic yet humourous. The way I read VNAV was, he didn't get it.

I agree with australian when he says

Simplified????? This is not the proper way of protecting high salary level in the Airline.
They will never simplify any recruitment process. They feel to be the world aviation elite just because they went through the selection process and no matter their real skills.

The only positive point is that if you join your training will be shorter as an experienced A320 pilot.
And I have never been turned down by AF by the way.
