EK March Roster Disaster
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sneak preview of March roster reveals the worst. 13years seniority, top bid and 4 night turns. Planning claim these were not manually inserted. Right !
Seems that EK Management's post is spot on. The end is near. How can they be so stupid as to erase the final thing thats good about the job - a couple of non punishing months. Also no more that 4 days off in a string.
In all my time here I have never had such total disrespect for the muppets that are churning this rubbish out.
Unreal.........I had penned and posted my question and almost simultaneously the details are emerging. This really says it all.
Unless we forget......this airline is going to make a
BILLION DOLLARS OF PROFIT THIS YEAR. And for that, our "management" will receive record profit share due to the prostituted nature of our "bonus scheme" and their actions over the past few months. They are going to **** you and
much more importantly your family because..........they can.........and because it will continue.......and because they "know" there is nothing you can do about it.
I have not seen my roster yet for March but given the above post I assume I will be treated the same.............if so, singularly the most important changes to our undocumented "terms and conditions" since any one of us joined this circus has now changed irrevocably for the worst.
IMHO, each of us now individually has 3 choices; some will submit their resignation forthwith (1%), some will accept whatever is forced down their throat for the remainder of their "career" here (70%), or some will stay for the interim and "tit-for-tat" this bull!!!! decision (as we have no other choice given our environment in the UAE and within EK) until the next job is in hand.
Your choice gents.....I have for the first time since I joined this outfit now chosen #3..........I was one of those "guys" who went the extra mile for this airline and tried to be as productive and professional as possible. Not that I had any loyalty toward these a$$holes because I recognized years ago loyalty in this outfit did not extend both ways; but I really wanted to hope I was a part of a "team" and if I supported it I would ultimately benefit. In the past it worked.......now it does not.
Bottom line EK management: you **** with me and you **** with my family......I **** with you. Manipulating our days off will cost you many times more than you can imagine.......the ability for pilots to contol productivity and costs within an airline has been well documented by our "leaders". And if that attitude is multiplied even in small amounts across this entire network it will cost you many times more than you think you've gained by this crap you've pulled.
Sorry for the rant guys but the bottom line: you as management in this airline have totally lost the aspects of leadership that inspire subordinates to endeavor to perform to the best of their abilities. In short, you are a$$holes and you need to start treating your professional pilots with a degree of dignity and professional respect that they are deserving of. Until then, I can assure you the productivity of each and every member of your pilot workforce will decline each and every day (as it already has over the past 6 months) and will ultimately become an anchor on your pursuit of that next greater bonus.....profit target......productivity goal.........etc.
Rant over.
C.V. being prepared.
Can't wait to leave this circus.
