Ladies and gentlemen,girls and boys... I have a difficult question which may have been previously discussed,but as you know I'm still wet around the ears and dont know my way around here yet so I hope of some assistance from those knowledgables...so officially here goes

"once a tour of duty planned to be equal to or less than 11 hours has commenced,can it be extended to beyond 12 hours due to operational reasons with the proviso that a 24 hour mandatory rest period is given immediately after??? For instance, if the round trip planned takes longer than expected,do we stop when the clocks ticks 12 hours or continue home and have the following day off?"
