Eggbound and Tigermoth, if you'll re-read what I said, I was suggesting that there are specific reasons why few youngsters are prepared to train to become a doctor, engineer, pilot, or other profession requiring much dedication.
Nobody was suggesting that we should ban these things, neither was I trying to start (yet another) debate about Engineers pay.
