Diverts
Totally out of order blaming Servisair at BOH for rejecting diverts.
In know for a fact that they actively encourage them. As I understand the procedure is that Servisair are called by the airline with a divert request, Servisair then have to pass the info to the Bournemouth Airport Authorities, who scrutinise it with a fine toothcomb and more often that not reject it due to lack of space??!!.
It appears that the space issue usually involves small aircraft and cargo aircraft being allowed to occupy stands that should be allocated to passenger aircraft.
I am aware that there also seems to be some bizarre policy of keeping stands free 'just in case'. IN CASE OF WHAT???? Who knows!!!
This new expansion scheme needs to be driven forward by a pro-active and forward thinking management team at Bournemouth Airport, not he 'old boys network' thats in place at present.
