This sounds like the usual marketing and PR guff.

Dont suppose the paper said the airport ramp , taxiway and runway could cope with the weight of a 787 ??? doubt it , no point in having a runway or operating area that is already worn thin.

Didn't something sink into some tarmac this summer on the ramp ........

Landed at Blackpool last night and to say the landing was interesting would be an understatement , I reckon their are a couple of dints in the runway were the wheels hit the deck last night ............... mind you well done to the crew for getting the bird down in far from ideal flying conditions !!!
