Angel Any experienced float-pilots out there?

Have searched this site re seaplanes/floatplanes, but most (if not all) posts were about how/where to get the rating and how to get a job with no experience.

“Bush-operators” with 206’es run single-pilot operations. Thus the experience requirement.

Working as a floatplane pilot in the north is a part-time job during summer season (April-October). You may do scenic local flights at sea-level, or mountain-flying which is fairly demanding and needs apprenticeship. Position suitable for versatile persons able to find other employment during the winter season. Probably a tall order?

It is a sad fact that experienced seaplane-pilots are now a species facing extinction, due to legislators’ over-eagerness to ban motorized travel in the “wilderness” in Norway.

If anyone with 300+ hrs of float-time read this, please post or send PM!

Regards, Nardi
