This doesnt actually qualify as the strangest thing but was still odd.
About 7 years ago on a small island off Brasils North Coast (Fernando De Noronha) sitting in a Beach Cantina drinking beer and tequila with the locals not being able to speak more than a handful or portuguese (wife was brasilian so was okay there).
Eating Lobsters and Crabs caught that day watching the most spectacular sunset i have ever seen with the world freedive champion and the bloke giving us a lift back to our posada whose only English was Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd Lyrics.
Half tanked, drinking beer, watching this beautiful sunset and this 50 year old guy in a speedo singing "Hello... is there anybody in there?".
