INDIA!!! BEWARE PARAMOUNT AIRWAYS
Do not think there can be any airline in the world worse then Paramount.
After 6 months they do not have a Chief Pilot. What is the DGCA doing!!!!!! They had a Jet dispatcher runnning operations...Management got smart!!!!! and replaced him with a Singapore Airlines dispatcher. Management claims he was a VP in SIA...My sources say that he was just a dispatcher and security officer...and a very unpopular one....Thought India had a anti-dumping law against imports!!!! What is the DGCA doing!!! How can a dispatcher run Flight Operations...And this guy just talks and talks.....only problem...Has no clue what he is talking about.
Some of the outright criminal offenses: total flouting of FTLs, photocopies of Jeppesen Charts in cockpit, 320 manuals!! (they are flying E170s), (no wonder crew have not been issued copies of manuals still...!!!!) , no training program for ab-initios....no airport passes for crew (one of the brazilian pilots refused to operate a flight because they asked him to go with a temporary pass which was under another person's name....IMPERSONATION!!!), the inaugural flight went without DGCA approval because the MD of the airline pleaded with the expat pilot (that pilot is now on the undesirable list and cannot enter into India)......the list goes on......
Pilots are being bonded for 7 years....ab-initios are being asked to pay 20 lakhs if they fail to clear the embraer course, they are getting stranded in foreign destinations without hotel accomm and money,....Not a single Indian pilot is joining them...so they they changed the rule to allow two expat pilots fly.....a few months back a SIA captain came with a few expat captains from the US but apparently they were not treated well....and that was the last we saw of them.....apparently one of the expat captains was not picked up in Delhi airport and had to spend the night in a hotel lobby because no reservations were made and because all hotels were booked out.......apparently they were given contracts which made them very angry and also the houses they were shown in Chennai were sub standard.....
Engineering is the absolute PITS....Frequent fights in the aircraft between the brazilian pilots and the indian engineers and between the brazilian and indian engineers....in full view of the public.....The man running engineering is a marketing man with no clue of Engineering Operations.....Again what was the DGCA doing!!!! They switched base overnight from Coimbatore to Chennai and suddenly the man realises they did not have the Engineering Approvals and stores facility in Chennai....
Ground Service sucks...Will not blame the staff.what can they do if they are forced to do 16 hour shifts. Totally unprofessional and disorganised....They have delays and cancellations almost every day and its like a riot zone....
Staff morale is extremely low....Word on the street is that they will not last 6 months...It is being run like a textile MILL!!! (their core business)..the ground staff still carry the MDs bags...And the MD has the nerve to talk about 787s.....He should stick to spinning cotton and not be spinning tales!!!!!
Business Class Comforts is the tag line......they are passing of the embraer's standard economy class as elite business class....they think the employees and the customers are dumb....everyday there are arguments in the cabin between irate customers who rightfully feel cheated and the crew regarding the seats....
Bottomline.........DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT JOINING PARAMOUNT
