Note that I am a pilot not a doctor and it is really not possible to make any accurate assessment, but it sounds as though you may be looking through part of the membrane-like covering of the vitreous gel which has fallen away from the retina.
Have a senior ophthalmologist check to see if you have a Posterior Vitreous Detachment. Search PVD or my many post on the subject. If it should be the case, don’t worry unduly, as some fold have this for much of their lives.
