At RAAF Amberley in the early 70s, a landing helo received the following call from Tower:
"Caution, the taxi on the taxyway!"

Helo: "What's he doing on the taxyway?"

Tower: "Taxying!"

And at RAAF Pearce, a landing Macchi reported "I just adder near miss with a snake on the runway."
Tower (to next landing Macchi):"Caution, snake turbulence."
