So Pinky, you fly in Nomex now? you wear fire resistant gear under your nomex suit? you wear nomex gloves? a professional aerial applicator would. There is a difference between taking a job seriously and just doing what your told. I think bars on nomex overalls might be a bit much.
Some of these kids trained now are wearing all the gear before they even get a commercial, it's sort of miltiary training without the military.
Airline stuff, yes it looks the part but that has no relevance on flying 152's and 182's. Neat and tidy agreed. You can be professional without being done up like an African dictator, I think flying a 182 with bars, badges and wings would be unprofessional.
Thinking about it my last post was maybe a bit wide of the mark.
If taxi drivers and bus drivers wear epaulettes with bars all over them well pilots are at least as good as them right?
