I'm in a group - small cub, Group of 12, works really well
but could so easily have gone the other way. I know several people who have forked out their cash and then found out that the aircraft is monopolised by a few - subsidised by the many......
Oh and make sure they have e-allocator - you can see what the likelihood is of availability or levels of usage.
Ask to see the accounts - Quotes of 'a healthy engine fund' is not admissable evidence in my view.
Ask to see the logs and check the maintenance schedules therein
Ask to see the group rules too......
And there should be at least one group AGM per year plus 1 other meeting every 6 months to discuss things ongoing
