That's about it. I would have thought that sort of problem would be identified early on. Other airlines throughout the world use 'PowerPush' or whatever those things are. Surely there must have been other incidents or risk assesements done???

They attach to the left main gear and provide the power. The tech crew steer the a/c under guidence. When the device is finished it returns to its 'home' position automatically (and VERY quickly!).
As technologically advanced as the remote things are... It's like doing the safety demo in a shopping trolley! You just never know when it will turn or stop and how sudden the stop will be. I have bonded with overhead bins and bulkheads more times than I care to remember!
