Yikes, that's not the usual pprune experience - sounds like you've picked up something nasty somewhere else (although i got the same only two days ago and i could have sworn i was on pprune) - you need to download and run
Lavasoft Adaware , which will show you what you've picked up and let you quarantine/remove it...
