Well P.J. not quite!

There is a law in Mexico that prohibit banks from owning airlines and other "essential" companies. Therefore grupo CINTRA was created. What they exactly are I am not sure; they just seem to be a holding company. When Fox took over the presidency he planned to privatize the national airlines. Since the first day I was introduced to Mexican airlines politics there were hundreds of rumors of possible mergers, bankrupcies, AMX stealing routes from MXA etc. Thinking logically now (possible ? ) this could be a sign that MXA has been sold. If they merge which I highly doubt then there will be way too many planes for one company. Oddly enough, MXA has not reported their numbers for 2003 on Air Transport World
